I know.... I lied about being back last Wednesday to reveal the Melissa Frances project. So sorry. I thought that they would post it on their blog by then, but they didn't until Saturday and then we were off in a different town for our son's last Hockey tournament.
Anyway, you ladies are so smart! Many of you guessed a cupcake. We drew a name from the comments and Linda B. who posted February 10, 2010 @ 5:18 pm is the winner! Congratualtions and please email me with your mailing address.
Here are the photos of the project:
My project was inspired by a memory that I have of Valentines Day from when I was a young:
"I can remember one Valentine's Day when I was a little girl that my Dad gave my Mom a big heart shaped box filled with candy. I thought that it was beautiful. It was a shiny red foil heart box with a gold embossed rose on the front and it had a crepe paper ruffle that went all around the outside of the box top. I think it must have been then that I acquired my love for paper products. My project pieces are inspired by the ruffle that encircled the shiny red box."
You can go to the Melissa Frances Blog for the supply list and instructions on how to make the project pieces. If you need to know how to make the cupcake bottom from a pattern, comment on this post to ask for it and I will email it to you right away. The original pattern is for these cupcakes that I made with BasicGrey product for CHA almost 2 years ago.
Anybody hungrey for cupcakes now? ;-)
Another share for today is this minibook that was made with AccuCut dies. This Mix and Match album is so fun and the Flower Garden Layering set that I used throughout the album is so inovative.
The above image shows all of the pieces that you can mix and layer to your hearts content. You'll see that I did a lot of layering on each of the flowers/designs that I made.
The papers used in the book are new Creative Cafe, but I don't think that they are shipping quite yet. My advice would be to check for them at Two Peas in a Bucket or Danelle Johnson's website at Just Need It. I can hardly wait to used more of the fun colors and designs for summer layouts and projects!
Time to work on a few kit projects that I will share with you soon. Until then... happy creating!
Linda

What a well-researched article — thanks for putting in the time to look into the back-stories of all these famous brands. I had no idea the Twitter bird came from iStockPhoto, of all places!
