Summer is flying by. It seems the older I get the shorter the days are and I wonder every night where the day went. So today it is raining and I plan to try to catch up on some computer duties.
As promised, I drew a name from the comments in my last post to win some Halloween scrapping goodies.
The winner is STEFANI MEYER!!!! Congratulations, Stefani. I'm sending you some new BasicGrey and Pink Paislee Halloween stuff so please email me with your mailing address.
I have been working on lots of projects for kits for 2 weeks. Lots. As I mentioned in my last post , my new kit creation went up at The Scrappy Gourmet ... but is already sold out. If you are still interested in it, please email them and let them know. I'm sure that they would love to restock and sell more kits! There is a "Contact Us" link at the bottom of their "About us/Details" page.
My next kits for The Scrappy Gourmet will be a Christmas Card set and a fun Family Recipe Keeper that will be made with the new Nook and Pantry by BasicGrey. I really needed to make this recipe keeper because my recipes are so unorganized. Plus, I think that it would be great to have all of the recipes that have been passed on to me from family in one book. I think those kits will be available mid September. It all depends upon shipping time from the manuacturers for the kit supplies.
Until then, I made a really fun album using the Maya Road album that has a variety of pages made from felt, transparencies, and chipboard. Follow this link to a place called Frost it Pink. Amy asked me to make a few kits to add to her store. Here are a few images of the album.
Then here is a little peek that even Amy hasn't seen yet.... an upcoming kit project called "Love Endures". The kit includes a Maya Road Album and box plus a layout. This image shows a close up of the roses on the front of the album that you'll learn to make with this kit. Look for it at Frost it Pink in a week or two.
Beautiful Webster's Pages papers were used throughout this project. It was my first time using them and they were so easy to use for this project. Making a layout with them (my style) is a little harder, I thought. I think that they would be great though for scrappers that want to just put on a few photos and embellishments then be done, because the papers are so detailed, that is all that you need.
One last thing..... here is a peek at an upcoming (September) Creative Cafe Happy Hour project. If you have a scrapbook store near you that does these, look for this project and have a great time putting it together!
This Fall Photo Banner has 6 pennants to decorate. I used the Creative Cafe Glitter papers which I love, love, love. There's also some stamps, rub ons, buttons, gems and trims. Just something new to decorate your space this fall. I know, I know...but it's right around the corner. :-)
Finally, I have a shopping tip/suggestion. Out of necessity, I purchased this:
It's the "Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite"and let me tell you that it is worth every bit of the price even though I felt weak in the knees on the way home after I purchased it. I just don't spend money on a lot of trendy tools (and I've never been able to find that money tree that some people seem to have growing in their backyard ;-) Just kidding.
Anyway, no more using the "anywhere" hole punch where you do all of that pounding and cursing as you go. Well... I did anyway! I love this thing and should really write We Are Memory Keepers to thank them for making my crafting life so much easier.
No kidding, it went through 3/16" book board like nobody's business. Plus, it has a 6" punching depth so you can basically punch into the center of your 12 x 12 papers. My only problem with it is that it is BIG and feels a little clumsy in my hand. Or it could just be that I am not coordinated and I suppose it has to be big in order to work so dang good. Now... if I can only find a spot to store the monster while not in use.
Well, it's 3 hours later from when I started this post. I've made lunch, done 2 loads of laundry, wiped up rain water from windowsills, and answered the phone too many times to count. Except for the call from Washington DC. Who in world was that? Cort wondered why I wasn't answering and I told him that I didn't have time today to talk to the President. ;-) Hmmm... no wonder I don't post very often!
Wow, these are simply gorgeous, Linda :)

Gorgeous projects, as usual!
I'm normally a lurker, but I wanted to tell you (and your readers) that a friend of mine just got the Big Bite at her Walmart for $5. She said the pink ones were there for $10. It seems like some Walmarts are downsizing their scrapbooking stuff so maybe someone else looking for one can get lucky!
