Did you read my last post? Well, if you did... the music worked. I accomplished a lot that day and got all of my assignments done for the Creative Cafe Artbar. That product is so darn fun to work with. There is so much to choose from that the possiblities are endless. I wish that I could show you some of the things that my fellow design team members have done (amazing), but I'll have to wait until they post some on their blogs. Really fun stuff. Here are a couple of mine and if your local scrapbook store is putting in an Artbar, you can check out when these are available for you to make.
These little 3 dimensional birds can be made at the Artbar using the Accucut die templates that are available for use at the scrapbook stores. Seriously cute and fun to make and so simple too. I just added some of the Creative Cafe rub ons, sanded the edges a bit, added the velvet ribbon to hang them with, and glittered up that white one.
This is a Thanksgiving garland. More Accucut dies , puffy felt flowers and letters, velvet brads. buttons and chipboard - all Creative Cafe product.
More puffy felt flowers used to make some napkin rings --just to add a little cuteness to a table setting. So, if you like this product, BEG your local scrapbbok store to get an Artbar if they haven't ordered already. Looks like October is the month to look for one at your lss. I think that it is just the best concept ever to be able to walk in and be able to buy just a couple of buttons, or tags, or cute puffy felt flowers(and the list goes on and on.) Then to top it off if you want to hang at the Artbar and create some projects with the Recipes that the design team are coming up with, it gets that much better. There will also be projects for kids too.
Speaking of kids, as I was putting Cort to bed last night and he was going through his routine of organizing his pillows and a couple of stuffed animals, I laid my head down on one of his pillows. I think that I even sighed, then said, "I wish that I could go to bed right now." He says, "So why don't you?" I tell him that I still have work to do so I can't. He replies with, "Don't you just hate when that happens?" I start cracking up !! I wonder why would he ever even think that? He wonders why I'm laughing because he tells me that sometimes in school his eyes get tired and he thinks about sleeping. Hmmmm.... I didn't know that kids actually thought about how good it is to sleep. Usually Cort trys to avoid it -- he can kill a lot of time getting through his nightly routine to avoid bedtime. Oh, how he makes me smile and laugh though -- love my boy!!
It's raining here today and kind of gloomy. I may just need to get the music going again so that I can finish some more assignments. I like the rain though, it soothes me. Unlike the hot and humid of yesterday. Plus I was working with Word on my computer and was having some real issues. Kind of like with Typepad today. Usually it works well, but it's being weird today, so hopefully I don't lose this long post for the 2nd time. Errrggggggg ..... I just want to beat my computer some days! I'm so not technologically minded. It is all foreign to me. Reminds me of this quote by Brian Andreas: " There are some days when no matter what I say or do it feels like I am far away in another country and whoever is doing the translating has had far too much to drink." Yep, that was yesterday ;-) Maybe I'll try to avoid the computer for the rest of today--heh.
Love to all, Linda :-)

Always fun to stop by your blog as there are sure to be many wonderful creative things going on.
